Mountain Meditation (shorter version) for Grounding Support
This meditation practice can serve as a grounding support for anyone in recovery from substance use, alcohol, or other addictive behaviors and also for anyone facing the challenges and struggles inherent in day-to-day life. Find a comfortable supportive place to sit - in a chair or on the floor or even on the ground with your back against a tree. Press play and follow my guidance. You always have agency so if something I am guiding doesn’t feel right for you, you can always choose to move your attention to your breath, open your eyes, or shift your body and rejoin the guidance when you feel ready. Once you get the hang of the mountain meditation, feel free to practice it without the recording while standing in lines at the store, before entering a meeting or challenging conversation, or when you wake up in the morning.
